THE BRITISH GROUCHY THREAD.

Reply Fri 15 Sep, 2006 06:01 am
Over the past week or so, I have been followed around by a grouchy member with a large chip on the proverbial shoulder, who has made numerous attempts to rile me. This has succeeded on two or three occasions, and I now realise that it is a waste of my energy, as some sort of fixation seems evident.

This continual sniping has resutled in "The British Thread" going rapidly downhill, which is a great shame.

I therefore open this thread, so that anyone who may feel a little grouchy, or feels the need to belittle another member, or feels a certain insecurity when dealing with A2K members of the opposite sex, whilst casting a jealous eye to those who seem to manage quite well in this area, may enter this thread in order to belittle, grump and grumble amongst themselves.

I'm quite aware that this thread may not take off, as those people may feel a little embarrassed about posting in here, but at least it gives the option for other A2K members, on other more positive threads, to advise a grump that this thread exists, and suggest to them, that they may be an ideal participant.

This, in the long run, will hopefully result in other threads of a more fun, positive nature, being left alone by Mr or Mrs Grumpybags, and allow those other threads to continue on a positive course, or keep on having fun.

Although the title of this thread implies that it is a British thing, everyone on A2K is welcome to join in, or feel free to refer anyone they consider to be an appropriate case.

Thank you.

Walter isn't a grouch--he's a nebbish.

Only if it's genuine, Francis.

I believe that you are an imposter.

('Twas when I managed to haul myself through the first paragraph of the last rant, that I realised what a waste of energy it was. I therefore stopped reading at that time, so I have no idea what other weasly words were fired. I would recommend reading it though, as the poster seems quite well read, and can use far bigger words than I)

I'm going to really belittle you if you call me names, LE! Twisted Evil

(If you have a problem with big words, you can check Brandon's thread...)

You are too nice a person to belittle me, Francis.

Go ahead though, as it may serve as a bit of practise before this thread gets it's first genuine customer.

I'm pretty sure Francis is a Lapplander, therefore exempt from accusations.

Ah, but do you see yourself as being in need of the service that this thread can provide, Dys?

Are you ever grouchy?

Do you have any form of inferiority complex, or insecurity with women?

Men even?

Are you worried about the decline in quality, of modern day Stetson's?

You're not going to get any bites on your bait just yet, LE . . . the old dipsomaniac is very likely sleeping it off right now.

I, on the other hand, am almost certainly not.

Does this thread mean I can tell someone to bugger off?

the quality of Stetson remains above my expectations but then so does the cost.

I received a very recent, rambling rant though, Set.

I'm not confirming that this person is who it's all geared up for, though.

You might well think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.

Good one, Francis!

You're getting the idea....

Well done, old boy!

Keep it up, and he/she could have some really good grouching competition on his/her hands.

Isn't an appendage something you add?
