before i turn out my light on my last nite in this town//
i smoke my last camel light and soak up what lies around//
my room is empty besides the clothes i'll wear tomorrow//
and my hearts full of plenty of worries and sorrow//
i remember high times when we'd all raise our glasses up//
far fonder memories of these days alone pent up//
better days are coming//
but not before they get worse i'm told//
and i think its funny, i fight your war knowing i might not make it old//
sing me a song songbirds//
for it might be my last in time//
and when i wake in the morning may the sun also rise and shine//
when my eyes do close and i begin to breathe quietly//
give me a sign of happiness and that i'll be fine in dream//
god bless my family and loved ones close//
its so hard without the ones i need when i need them most//
but i swallow down self pitty and the lump in my throat//
smirk a smirk and dry my eye water cuz i wont be the host//
one day i pray we'll be back again//
i look forward to the day, turn out my light and soon after my candle stops burnin//
If I use the capitalized letters in your title, it spells EEYG, which was an obviousl typo for the word eegy.
Eegy- Sort of and apprehensivly feeling edgy, but not quite to the point of being edgy.
