The Sesselin Sisters, both vampire and live in the wilderness away from any civilization. Now both of them were referring to Revvel as one who is chosen to be this wanderer of the night, a vampire. Somehow, this new idea which was introduced to him moments ago seemed somehow right, something in his mind wanted it and told him to take it. But another part of his mind screamed a muted scream, with a message of fear towards them.

Looking into their eyes Revvel inquired to himself what next to say, what it is he should do his next action.

"Go, think, and consider. Go on with what you must do now. We shall come when it is time, and you shall know when we come." The both spoke in an eerie unison. Staring into the black foreboding darkness that seeped from their eyes they faded into the cloak of the night leaving Revvel in the night forest. A soft wind picked up, whistling through and around the branches of the trees, winding around Revvel wrapping him in its autumn grasp. Then the darkness began to lift and small beads of light began to as a blur in the distance and came into his vision. A short row of candle lit lamps lined a cobblestone road. Beyond that was a small chapel and short wooden buildings, each of them had the sign of the church. A circle with three spheres in the middle and two staffs crossing the middle of the circle; it was the abbey that he was on his way to.

Revvel traveled down the cobblestone road reaching the abbey entrance which was formed by a small stone wall that surrounded the abbey. He saw two women standing outside the chapel doors, both dressed in their white ceremonial gowns. Revvel approached the two and one spoke to him.

"Do you have business here stranger?" An old scratchy voice asked him. She looked up to him with shadow covering the majority of her face, only the end of her wrinkled chin extruded from the shadows under the gowns hood.

"I am looking for Sister Adrie." He responded.

"Sister Adrie waits in the chapel for you. Praise the three is with you." She whispered from the shadows under her hood.

Revvel walked past the two and pushed upon the chapel door. The chapel as lavished with many paintings, portraits and statues. Five pews lined each side of the chapel; each of them had four of the holy book, "The Coming" which was also known as "The Kommend" to others. A woman in another ceremonial gown sat on her knees singing a quiet hymn. Revvel approached her and sat two pews away from the front on the left. He waited, observing the paintings, some of them he had seen long ago in the church orphanage.

The women finished her hymn and stood as she kept her hands latched together. "How may I help you brother?" She asked without looking to him.

"I am seeking Sister Adrie."

"And you have found her; do you have a message for me?"

"A brother has a request." He said, remembering that's what the cloaked man had told him.

Sister Adrie stood finishing a prayer and she turned to face Revvel. The shadow under the hood wasn't as covering as the old women outside, but the eyes were still covered. Sister Adrie came closer to Revvel letting him see her closely. She had a thin face with smooth skin that blended with her thin skin colored lips. "Heresy has taken root near the abbey and I wish for you to cleanse the heretic camp which lies north of here, it is an hour's walk. You will silence the heretics with the blessings of the three. You can find the path to the heretic camp at a fork in the road that heads north, an extra path made by feet heads through the fork; they are hidden by the trees." She held up a gold piece for Revvel to see. "You shall be paid eighty gold pieces for your completion, do you accept?"

"Yes I accept." He answered immediately.

"Good, go in the afternoon tomorrow, for now, sleep." She turned away from him and sat back onto her knees at the chapel front and began singing another hymn.

Revvel left the chapel and the old women stopped him as he exited the chapel arch.

"Go to the cottage behind the church, your quarters are set up. Thank you for the help and the three is with you."

Revvel thanked her and headed to the cottage. It was small but decent, a small bed, food and an outhouse nearby. He removed his shirt and hung it on the back of a chair by its collar. He stretched for a few minutes then planted himself on top of the bed covers. Closing his eyes he ran through what he had to do tomorrow over and over until he had stamped it into his brain…

Revvel woke startled and found himself in another place. There were many other beds, each with small footlockers and each bed was well taken care of, each cover neatly folded and each pillow sat perfectly in the middle top of each bed. The place was familiar but no name came to him. Revvel realized that nobody else was asleep in this place but him, he stood and found he was still in his clothing. Brushing himself off he headed towards the only door which was at the other end of the room. He moved towards it but never getting closer. He began to run and it stayed where it was. The windows became foggy and the room grew darker. Boards from the outside of the windows slammed onto the outsides choking light from the room as Revvel rushed with all his might towards the door. The room became dark and then a putrid smell came to his nostrils. The rotting smell filled the room as Revvel slowed and began to gag on the smell. Strings of light broke through the cracks of boards outside the windows and began to fade. The smell became stronger and Revvel wanted to cover his nose but couldn't move his hands. He felt the room curve as his vision moved across the room and then came across the dead rotting body of a child. He tried to scream as the rotting body stood off the side of the bed and approached him. The rotting child's cheeks were gone and much of the skin was blackened or eaten away from decomposition. There were no eyes and the teeth had fallen out with time. The remaining hairs were thin and limp as the body was also frail and rotted. The rotted child reached towards Revvel and everything disappeared as the cottage surroundings came back into view.

What was that? He asked himself. Collecting himself Revvel saw bits of light poking through the cracks under the cottage door. Grabbing his shirt he slipped it on and latched his sword back to his belt. Soft singing came from within the church, a greeting to the day.

Revvel left the abbey unnoticed and headed along the path Sister Adrie had told him to go on. It turned into a dirt path as the cobblestone began to grow sparse. The foliage was light around the road, selective harvesting from the abbey for firewood and such other projects. Revvel was now passing the two thoughts that occupied him back and fourth; both the heretics and the two vampire women.

But one question outstood in his mind, what did they mean when they had said he would know when the time would come? Was something going to happen to him? He then thought of the heretics, maybe something was going to happen there. With that Revvel knew he had best be careful and avoid attracting to much attention at once so that the heretics could be dealt with quietly and quickly.

Revvel found the fork that Sister Adrie had spoken of and the path that left the fork was clearly evident. Taking the path Revvel readied himself for any encounter in the heretic camp which lay ahead. Approaching a clearing Revvel ducked down and scouted the camp out as he grew closer, then a chill was sent up his spine. All the heretics were dead; their bodies littered the ground surrounding their campsite. Many of them cut by rigid blades since the cuts were simply somebody hacking away endlessly until they were all dead.

A scream broke the silence in the distance beyond the campsite. Revvel wondered if somebody else had also been hired to do this job. If that was true, then the church probably had little involvement since they already had somebody available and ready for the job. Revvel approached the campsite and stopped at its edge hiding him in the foliage. He watched and waited, hoping somebody would come back to the campsite.

"Who ?'er you?" A quick deep voice shouted from behind Revvel. Leaping out of the foliage into the campsite a giant axe landed where he had been previously standing. Looking up past the axe a large eight foot man ripped the axe from the ground and grinned. "You with them damned non believers ?'eh?"

"No! I've been hired by the church to take care of these heretics!"

"Aye, I smell bullshit, the church don't go and hire mercenaries anytime! You lie!" The giant man leapt from the bushes wearing full bodied hunter's armor. Revvel dodged the axe again and slid his sword from its sheath.

"I'm telling the truth! I came from the Abbey just south of here!"

The giant man pulled his mask off and frowned. "How dare you suffer the dead any longer! I'll rip your arms and legs off for that!" The giant man shouted rushing towards Revvel. Swinging the axe left to right Revvel narrowly dodged the axe and instinctively jabbed at the giants stomach. Stumbling back the giant spat up some blood and let out a battle cry as he began swinging the axe back and fourth. "DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!" He screamed over and over. Revvel finally got his chance as the giant fell of balance and he shoved the sword into his neck. The giant stood for a moment as he bled from his mouth and nose then fell back to the ground with a thud.

"I tried to tell…" Before he could finish his sentence the axe flew up one last time slicing into Revel's gut splattering blood across the ground. Gasping Revvel fell back holding his gut as blood gushed from the wound.

"…thas…wha…'ya get you…dirty…dirty…" The giant attempted to speak but his voice became a gurgle then nothing as his jaw sat open lifeless.

Holding his gut Revvel tried to sit up using his free arm to push himself up against the nearest tree. Barely pulling his other arm away from the wound he felt pain surge through his body and instinctively slapped his hand onto the wound causing more pain. "…****!" He shouted as he slid back down the tree with his back propped against the tree trunk. "No…not here…" He swallowed trying to excuse the pain but doing no good as blood kept seeping out steadily. "…not here…not here…" He breathed heavily holding in his intestines as he fell over onto his side. The feeling in his skin began to fade and his skin began to grow pale white. "…not…" He muttered as everything faded.
