This is for all the people that have been a branch in my life. You try to be strong, save as much strength to know you won't brake. But pretty soon it happens.
Lifetime expectations.
Just the word lifetime makes me laugh.
Because that's what I expected of you.
To never leave me high & dry.
Certain that you would ever leave my side.
I guess I was wrong.
Expectations.
It's a simple word expect.
Likely to happen, that's it's definition.
I'm sure there's others.
I guess I expected more of you.
Oh well.
You made me think you were strong.
As if you'd never brake.
Like a tree to a stranger.
A branch to a "buddy".
A leaf to an aqquaintance.
I thought of you as the roots.
If those roots....weren't there
the tree couldn't live.
Go on to grow another inch,
another branch another leaf.
The difference is I am growing.
Older, maturer, wiser enough to know,
I grew without you.
*sigh* Are you sure?
Ok...to tell you honestly, i wasn't that much interested on the 1st lines. I know that you can do much about it and make it better. Ok, back to the point>
1. put something else aside from the "oh well". it isn't that right...
2. i like the 1st part, thanking them and stuff like that.
3. "It's a simple word expect." tell me what you mean in this line.
4. hm...ironic, i like the end part, with the i grew without you
