I don't buy many PC games but do enjoy the few I buy. I've got a bit of spare money, and fancy a new game.
I buy a lot of 'sim' games like Evil Genius, Black and White 2, Theme Hospital, Rollercoaster Tycoon, The Sims.
What games would you recomend? I'd rather not get a game that requires a subscription fee. Much appreciated.
Personally, I have a serious addiction to Civilization 4.
I think Microsoft's Flight Simulator and Train Simulator are pretty neat.
Oh right? Does it last for a good time, and will I be able to get into it?
Thanks for the suggestion btw.
I dunno if you'll "Get into" them or not - read reviews and try demos to find out. As far "last for a good time", to practical purpose, both Civilization as mentioned by blacksmithn and the Microsoft simulators I suggested are all but endless, and repeat play offers effectively infinite variation even within the same scenarios. These aren't games you'll easily "beat", and you'll never play the same game twice.
Thanks very much! I quite like the idea of Civillisation 4, and will look into it. Thank you to everyone who has helped.
FYI-- You can find used copies of all the aforementioned on Amazon for a lot cheaper than retail.
Well I recently bought The Settlers Heritage of Kings, and I am thoroughly enjoying it. And it was a bargain! Only $8!!!
i did that one too. it was alright i guess.

Is it worth buying if I already have Civ 3? I don't want to waste money, but I love the Civilization series.
I suggest you read reviews - there are differences and play enhancements (sorta optimized for newer, faster, large memory, current-operating-system machines with more capable video capabilities) - whether they're "worth it to you" is something only you can determine.
