I've been having an issue with response times. Sometimes it's fine but other times it takes up to a minute or so for a page to load or update. Is anyone else seeing the same or is my set-up/dial-up?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem, and got "critical error" a few times today. Figure the hamsters are up to something.

Seems to be happening for several days. Just like it was a couple months back. It was great after some, apparent, work. Now that new work is going on it is back to the same slow downs. Hopefully, it is temporary. Crying or Very sad

Me too. Hamsters are rolling that wheel, me thinks.

I have had some serious slow stuff going on today, as far as A2K is concerned. One second it's as fast as anything, next it just freezes up to the extent that I've closed down and had to log in again.

Is it something to do with the time of day? Maybe there are night manouvres involving hamsters, that just affect the mid morning people in Europe and evening people in Oz?

I'm now taking to copying my post before pressing submit, so that if it freezes, I can at least just "paste" when I get back in.

Hopefully, the hamsters are just doing a temporary tweaking thingy (that's a technical computer term).

Pressing submit.............NOW!

I've found that if I wait it out, it will post eventually (unless there's a critical error). Your system freezes up, as in you can't do anything else on your system or within your browser? Try opening a new browser window and opening CNN.com or other site that almost never goes down. If you can open another site in another window and don't have a critical A2K error, then I think it will eventually post through.

Thank you JPB, but since this morning, after I lobbed the computer tower onto the concrete patio below, I re-connected it all and it seems to be fine, now.

Bit of smoke out of the back, but goes like greased lightning.

I think the squashed slug, jammed into the largest of the card reading slots, has something to do with it.

Yep, that's the technical term.

I've noticed in the last month that the hamsters are particularly tweak-minded on weekends.
