Alright, I know this is a really old ******* game, but I found this at a friends house and he let me borrow it since it doesn't need the disk to run. Anyways, it's an incredbly good game. It's from Sid Meier, the guy who did Civilization. This game though is in the future and in space with a rather interesting plot. (yes, it has a plot)
Anyways, it doesn't work on anything newer than windows ME...but if you have played it, well, good for you!
I just had to say that this is a damn fun game!
Thats one of the few games I've enjoyed enough to play with some regularity. I dunno why it only runs on ME for you; I have no problem (other than getting all wound up in the game) under XP or 98SE - haven't tried it under 2K, but since XP runs it OK, I imagine 2K would too.
Gets a little hectic when you've built up a buncha cities, formed a couple alliances, and have hundreds of units to move, doesn't it?
And those damned mindworms ....
Oh, no...
I meant it doesn't work on anything NEWER than ME. What I mean is it wont work on things like 2000 or XP. But it will work on ME or anything older than it. Such as 98 or 95.
It doesn't work on XP, because I already tried.
Huh. That's odd - I run it on an XP machine just fine - sorta overkill, as far as video card (256MB), memory (2 Gigs), and processor go (3.2 Ghz P 4), given the game's characteristics, but it works fine for me.
