Help Needed with Marlboro Contest Question
Hi DesertRat,

For Clue #43. When my husband and I were reading the clues and got to that one, we both said "it's Coors" When Coors first became known in our area of the country you could not purchase it here. So, my sister-in-law and a friend used to take long weekend trips to go West and buy it. They would come back with the car completely loaded down. Also, when we first started seeing commericals here about Coors beer it mentioned the smooth, clear tawny color. It may not be right, I haven't researched it yet, but that's my story and I'm stickin to it! LOL

Clue # 7
Hey y'all! Some of you (myself included) may have Trail Ridge Road as the highest paved road, but Mount Evans Scenic Byway also states it is the highest. Trail Ridge Road is about 12,000 feet and Mount Evans is 14,258 ft. Check me if I'm wrong.

Thanks! and Good Luck All!

This is a completely wild guess:

There is a book called Cow County and it takes place in Montana and Wyoming so my wild guess is the Tetons.

Actually the books take place in the Big Horn Mountains (as the Tetons are part of the Rockies) Just my 2 cents. Probably wrong guess tho, but the books are great! HA HA

The highest paved road in North America is the Road to Mt. Evans off of I-70 from Idaho Springs. The Road climbs up to 14,258 ft. above sea level.

Sorry I do not know how to use this forum:
On clue # 43 very hard. Consider Moosehead Lager in a French provence &5.6% of the Canadians have skinny-dipped at some point (au naturel). the brewer is moosehead ( south of the board and beyond). They do export. A Moose is an omnivore. The wed site to research is: http://www.sesresearch.com/news/press_releases/Moosehead%20PR.pdf#search=%22canada%20french%20au%20naturel%20%22moosehead%22%22. Let me Know what the group thinks. By the way one of the languages I speak other than English is French having lived in Eastern France for several years.

A moose isn't an omnivore. They do not eat meat. For that fact I believe they lack the teeth to eat meat. There are many different brewery's in the united states. One thing to consider is the fact that this question says south of the boarder. So that leads me to believe that we are looking for a brewery south of the boarder. Now Anheuser-Busch owns 50% of Grupo Modelo in Mexico. Groupo modelo sells Corona Extra and Corona Light it is also the largest brewery in mexico. Corona (labelled Corona Extra, but seldom referred to as such) is the top-selling beer in Mexico and is one of the top-selling beers worldwide. Now if I could get that to fit the omnivore part of the question I think I'd be doing good.

The other one I'm looking at is Henry Weinhard's. It is one of the first beer company's to brew beer. Henry is human so he's an omnivore. The company also processes the beer in a natural manner covering the au naturel portion of the question. However I don't believe it covers the south of the border and beyond portion of the question. So I'm left with out a definitive answer. Just some thoughts to go on people. Keep me informed if ya'll come up with an answer that fits all aspects of the question.

It cannot be south of the border porter. Porter is not a tawny color. Its a dark color. Smile Just a thought.
