Alright all day long I've been reading and reading on question 44. The fact that we have been reading the question wrong so to speak has me wondering.... So I thought that I'd reread the question and I'm crazy cuz I keep reading it the same way. I have a feeling that we are looking at billy bobs but I don't find it to be correct. Or at least not to fit in with how I read the question. Now maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it is Billy Bobs but I can't get it to fit. Its a lot like trying to put a square peg in a round hole. They don't fit well now do they? So from reading Rats clues and looking into it I feel he must have the wrong answer. Its not uncomon. If you get a smaller peg you can make it fit in a round hole. But just because you get it to fit don't make it correct if you get what I mean. So I'll keep looking for the answer on 44. Again I thank Rat for the help but I don't feel his help leads to a right answer at least not this time. It has in the past. Okay anyhow just putting in my 10 cents worth.

My eyes are so bugged out from the last two....
I was thinking What if the bar and restaurant has nothing to do with a casino except that the name rymes with it, and to say you cant come here to gamble or bet just reasures that its only the ryming that it has in common. And then You swing me I swing you, the only dance I know of that does that and is quite known for is the square dance. "Swing your partner" That would make two people swing each other. So I was thinking of a square dance joint. I am throwing all my thoughts out there I am tired and want to find a dang answer and get some sleep. Shocked

Hi all

So it has been a LONG time since I last visited this site due to my being out of town and did not bring my laptop along. So I am behind the curve a little, but I have to commend you guys for doing a great job ( I wish I only had two left ) and helping each other out. I thought I could come in here and help but looks like you guys are truckin' along. Give me a couple of days to catch up and hopefully I can offer some substantial clues (cause right now mine are junk)

My email address is:

[email protected]

Hopefully I can offer something to the table

I agree with Taz - I find no correlation between the clue and Billy Bobs. As much as I love the place and would love to have it fit.

Desert has been very helpful in the past and I thank him, and I wish I could figure out how we are reading this clue "just one way" as he stated. I feel sure it has a meaning we are missing because he has been "dead on" on some of the others.

My primary problem with this darn clue is do we HAVE to find the first part (the new floor - you swing me-I swing you) in order to find the answer (bar & restaurant.)
Does anyone think they are 1 and the same? Does the bar & restaurant have a new floor and where the "swing" part applies to?

Oh crap I'm just babbling...............

wick I think we are talking 2 different places ....the reason i said i could see how dessert could be on to something is in the history of this place it was used aa a live rink and then it says they put in the dance floor if you think of the stock (hooves) scratching it it makes since...I am looking in to surrounding place now .....hell at this point i would gladly pay for the damn answer lol.

Alright lets break this clue down.

After so many years, they wore down the floor,
Put in a new one in and scuffed it some more.
( Okay now I don't see how this could be miss read. The bar restaurant has a new floor at some time)

You swing me, I swing you
we drive down the avenue.
( okay so on the way to the bar we drive down an avenue?)

We're almost where we want to go.
It sounds alot like th e word, casino.
( What sounds like casino? the bar and restaurant or the avenue we are driving down?)

No poker and no roulette
You can't come here to gamble or bet.
( okay so you can't gamble or bet. That can't be read wrong)

Now don't stop and begin to flaunt--
Name this here bar and restaurant.
( okay part of this is simple they want the name of a bar AND restaurant. Don't know about the flaunt part.)

So did I break it down correctly?

So from what I can tell is everyone is looking at Billy bobs. I still say its like getting a small square peg to fit in a large round hole. The reason I say that is part of the clue says you can't gamble or bet. And they have slot's there, you gamble at the slots. So that would make it not fit right? I'm telling you I just don't think it fits 100%. However like many others I'm willing to write down anything at this point in time. LOL Smile

BUT>>>it could also lead you to believe they/we have left the place with the new floor where we/they were swing dancing and driven on down the avenue to another place.

This part of the Billy Bob's theory could be right based on all the businesses together there.

But gotta find more...........
Darn!!!!!! I like to have NEVER got a post to register. Anybody else having a prob???
