Most of you have a lottery in your state I would think. You probably have scratch tickets too. Well, a friend of mine won 1 million in our lottery and another person I know won $500,000 on a $10 scratch ticket. On some of the scratch tickets there is a second chance drawing. You just have to fill out the back and send it in. The nice people at a place of business I frequent kept the tickets for me that were not winners and the person who bought it did not want it. On one game, the grand prize was a seat at the table (texas hold em) and all expenses etc. Anyway, there were 4 drawings.
I won 2nd place in 2 of the drawings so I won a poker table with the chips valued at $289. I won 2 of these!!! I didn't want them so I gave them away and yes I did claim it on my taxes.
Well, there was another game and the grand prize was to go on tour with a country band (there was a list and I don't remember all of them you could pick from). The day before yesterday I got an envelope in the mail from the lottery. My hubby was home and I saw the letter and told him I entered that contest. I was hoping the letter said I won. It did, 2nd place.
So, I won a leather driving jacket, leather backpack, short sleeved shirt, cap and his and hers watches. Dang, I just have to always be second. Oh well, at least I won.
