Angel ... sorry for not acknowledging the issue with your Mom's dog. We've never had to "put one down" but had to find new homes for a few when we picked up and moved. We just couldn't take them with us for various reasons. It was real hard to do and it still saddens me when I remember it.

My mom had to take her dog to the vet last yeaterday Her dog is 16 years old and all of a sudden she had a tumor thing pop out of her kooter, yuck it was the size of a baseball, my mom found out that her dog has a tumor from her second set of nipples all the way down her body They told her that they can remove the outter part and some of the inner part but they cant remove it all because she wont be able to go potty. the tumor is on her female parts. My mom wont put her down, she loves that dog and gets mad at the suggestion of her dog being put to sleep. The vet told her that after the surgery the dog will be ok but the tumor will grow back. My mom is willing to pay all that money just so her dog can run and be happy for a little while longer. I feel pretty bad for her. That dog has been her best friend since she was born. Mama bringing up nipples made me think of it so I thought I would share a little.
