What happened to your battery or is it just over the hill! Crying or Very sad

wouldn't start last night, so we jumped it, drove it about half an hour;

won't start again this morning...car is 2003, battery's never been replaced, so I'm hoping that's all it is.

only 41,000 miles on car, so surely it's not the alternator.... Shocked

Mama if the battery has caps on it that you can take off
Then you can check the fluid level in it. If the fluid level is not full refill with distilled water only. You may also put some crushed asprin in there to help netralize solidification in the battery untill you can get to a new one, this asprin must be like bayer and it must be crushed into powder, an equal amount into each cell!! Crying or Very sad

Buy the way a battery is the only thing not covered by any warranty so next time you chose one make sure it's got it's own warranty that comes from the battery manufacturer. Laughing

There is a little test that you can do. Check with the car running to take off the negative cable, if the car is still
running then the alternator is doing it's job. If the car stalls then the alternator is shot! Crying or Very sad

My mom had to take her dog to the vet last yeaterday Sad Her dog is 16 years old and all of a sudden she had a tumor thing pop out of her kooter, yuck it was the size of a baseball, my mom found out that her dog has a tumor from her second set of nipples all the way down her body Sad They told her that they can remove the outter part and some of the inner part but they cant remove it all because she wont be able to go potty. the tumor is on her female parts. My mom wont put her down, she loves that dog and gets mad at the suggestion of her dog being put to sleep. The vet told her that after the surgery the dog will be ok but the tumor will grow back. My mom is willing to pay all that money just so her dog can run and be happy for a little while longer. I feel pretty bad for her. That dog has been her best friend since she was born. Mama bringing up nipples made me think of it so I thought I would share a little.

i can relate to how your mom feels...i've got one that's 15...raised him from a pup....i'd hate to lose him, but i know he can't live forever.....i've always said i'd give him life as long as i can, but i will not, for any reaon, allow him to suffer in any way....

Good Mornin' All!
Had to go back 35 pages to see what y'all were up to last nite. I took the nite off to pass out candy to the spookies. Very Happy Here's the condensed version for others who were off last nite ...

- There's a new Marlboro game and someone has the code to get started
- Angel wants the code cause she only has miles on her packs
- TTH got her confirmation pack from Marlboro, but isn't putting it on the forum because the lurkers might see it
- TTH been talkin' to Timber on special characters (of course she has a Mac)
- Angel needs to wash her bra a few more times
- Gus has removed his hand from his lap in a magnanimous gesture
- Red just being helpful as always
- Lurker's got issues with her puter and picture files
- Toots rehashed the flute to kooter incident
- Horse was stirring up trouble (just bein' herself) and has skunks in the backyard
- Mama got her P'nut on the page now
- Etc.
- My apologies if I missed something y'all thought was important Laughing

The vet said she wasnt in any pain, it just looked like it would hurt.It was hard for her to run with that thing hanging down. I know if her dog was in pain she would put her down. She had to put another of her dogs down about three years ago. Same age as the other dog. "heart worms" She spent bookoo money on that dog but it was no use they had to put her down. "the vet did my mom dont have the heart to do it"
