I have to rest my head, gang. I've got a migraine coming on. I'll check back later if I can. If not, I'll see you all tomorrow.

Off the subject, (yet somehow, found it while researching for#44) I just ran across this and found it interesting-wanted to share it with you.

the dead room
in the olden days the room right off the front porch with entry through double french doors was called the dead room. the casket would be brought in for viewing thus the name,' dead room' and then family and friends would proceed to the next room, that's how the 'living room' was created

I'm going to know all sorts more useless things before this is over.

I came across that when I was doing my research. I found it funny!! I always tell my husband at my "party" there better be a bar!! LOL

Hi, CowGirl

Right at the top of the answer book it says:

Clearly label each photo or printout with the photo clue it answers and put them in the pocket on the right.

I'm going to clearly label them on the front, not the back.

If you lost your answer book, you're in deep trouble!

If I don't give out my email address, then there's not a lot left here for me, but I have had some good laughs.

See ya!

To whoever told me to google Kearney, I did! I already have the answers I need. There's is nothing in Kearney that fits the clue. I was only curious about why anyone would think there is. It must be another case of someone who didn't do their research. I sure don't need to do more research for false hints.

Actually, it says label it with "the photo clue number it answers," not the whole clue, just the number.

44 has driven me crazy for the last two weeks. I just don't find anything that has made me feel confident enough and have gotten to the point that I think I am grasping at straws to make something fit.

I know what you mean, I do have a place that has redone the floor, but can't make the rest fit. I'm now off in a new direction. I can't figure out if I want the town to rhyme with casino or the bar and restaurant? any thoughts on that one? I was also wondering if "You swing me. I swing you. we drive on down the avenue" could be the steps in a square dance? you know like when they get in 2 lines and the couple meets in the middle and then down the center line(drive on down the avenue) (CRY) I just don't know!!!!! ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!

but i wonder how far the distance could be between the different places. because I have an Avenue in mind, but the drive in between could be great lengths..........????

I'm sure that it's written in square dance type lyrics and it is a place that has country western music or Honky Tonk, whatever that is.

It seems obvious to me that

You swing me, I swing you
we drive on down the avenue

means it is on an avenue.

We're almost where we want to go
It sounds a lot like the word, casino

means that the place itself, not a town, will rhyme with casino.

of course, bar and restaurant could be any establishment that serves food and drink.

But to what do we use for referance for the bar and restaurant? we know it all connects together. Lets say the Honky Tonk (western Bar) what ever it is, is what gets the new floor.( and I've found 1 or 2) maybe at a certain time or Era was when swing was in. 60's maybe? or an event they still do today? ARGGGGGGG. brain stopped, just farted that thought completely away

While I find the research I've been doing VERY educational, I have also discovered that unless you're playing solitaire, there's little fun to be had doing much anything alone. Since I found this forum, it has become A LOT of fun for me. I have to agree though (and I've said it before);Keep you hints for each other off the the board. If you're in doubt look at the number of views this site gets, as opposed to the number of members we have.

I hate to keep quoting you mama.. but you always say exactly what I'm thinking.. Are you my long lost sibling?? Do you know where mom is?? Anyway.. I get home from work at about 2am.. and all during the hour ride home, I'm thinking about getting on the forum to unwind.. I love the people here with the exception a few.. and I enjoy the banter.. Thanks again all.. and 2x4.. there have been a few people just like you that have been one over by the people here..
