I have a Canon 4200 printer, but it doesn't always print in Landscape mode when I chose that. This is a new printer, only a few months old, but I had the same problem with an earlier Canon. Is this typical of Canon printers or am I doing something wrong?
Is this on everything, or from particular programs?

It happens when trying to print from Works Spreadsheet.
In Page Setup - Source, Size Orientation - is landscape selected?

OKAY!!
I only ever indicated Landscape in the Print Properties menu. Now I know what to do; I tried Page Setup and it worked perfectly.
Thanks a million!
Download and install original drivers. Perhaps it will solve a problem.
Are you setting the printer from the Print Properties page in your document, or from the printer's own settings page? Sometimes it'll work better if you exit any printer applications, close your printer software if its running, then go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Printers and actually open the printer's configuration utility, set the preference for "Landscape", click "Apply", click "OK", then close the configuration and fire up your printer again. Another thing that occurs to me is lotsa printers will revert to factory default if powered off then powered back on, regardless how you set your preferences.

Thanks, Timber. I'll keep your warning about resetting automatically to mfr's default in mind. For the moment all I need is the occasional document, so individual setting works fine.
