@JPB,
forecast tracks have shifted slightly east. I-95 corridor is now very much in play for a major snow event, which is actually better news than a major rain/warm-up event for northern NE.

Welcome to the second summer of the second little ice age. Last time anybody ever went a year and a half without seeing sunspots was at the peak of the (first) little ice age. Get used to the colder weather, it's likely to be around for a long time.

Sure.. that's why we had temperatures well above normal this week.. Must be that little ice age only lasted 4 months, complete with snow and ice and everything. Now we are in a major warming spell before we see another ice age in November or December.

i'm lovin this summer so far

highs in the mid 70's here, over nights in the low 60's high 50's

could stay like this all summer

Snow is predicted for Houston tomorrow. I know it's going to be a big old mess, but you'd think the sky was falling, the way people are freaking out. (Currently sunny and 53.)

it was bucketing rain last night. the good news - I needed poofity hair.
the bad news - the umbrella in the car was still wet when I went to get it for the walk to the subway this morning.

decided to drive to the subway.
got to the subway.
decided to drive to work.
