I purchased a laptop in 2004. I don{t know very much about computers and laptops. My friend who is SOMEWHAT knowledgeable of computers and laptops recently found in the HISTORY, TEMP and COOKIES files and folders, sexual content dating back to the year 2000. NOTE: I did not own the laptop back in 2000. So, can this mean that I purchased a NEW LAPTOP with an old system or program? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Odd, at the very least, to find temp files dating back several years prior to a 'puter's first use. Something wierd is going on there. Did you purchase the machine as new from a reputable vendor, or did you acquire it from a private party?
Is it possible you visited some sites recently that simply had old cookies on them?
Perhaps the system time was not correct when the files were created.
Do you have other types of files with the same dates?
