Pop speak: snakes on a playground

I'm turning to the wordsmiths of A2K for some help.

I need a short phrase that encapsulates childhood. Something that doesn't have to be explained or spelled. Something short and sweet. Something from pop-culture. Boomer-speak. Something timeless.

Something catchy, something quirky.

I'll confess - what I'm trying to do is come up with a easy domain name for my portrait business that specializes in children's photos.

So it also has to be something not already in use.

Which makes it tough.

So c'mon word lovers, help a girl out!

Interesting problem! I'm a word freak but am not real familiar with current playground talk. On the other hand, you don't want the name too trendy as some words go out of style.

I may go mumble some playground words in a corner...

I guess Oly Oly Oxen Free is not what'd be a first choice...
and didn't Hopscotch get to be the name of a crime thriller, or something?

Where's John Lennon when we need him..

And Jumpin' Jack Flash has been taken...

Tether Ball Photo probably has some negative connotations..

Hey there osso. I'm really more interested in playground speak from a parent's generation!

Hopscotch is already taken! That is one that I checked out.

Redrover is taken too.

No! No! Brainstorm away!

I'm not worried about including "photo" anywhere in the name. The site will actually be My Name Photography but I want something very snappy and memorable as a domain name. That way, if I don't have business cards with me I can say the name and people will remember it.

Husha husha? That must be some crazy Canadian game. I could see myself having to spell that one. I've fallen into that spelling trap before with domain names (not my fault) and I don't want to revisit that!

Mockingbird.....

That has possibilities!

my mind works in the most bizzare ways, but the first game that came to mind was freeze tag, and the connection with your site would be..........

images are reflections frozen in time, and in modern parlance to tag something is to leave your mark on an object

Ack!

All of those are taken! As is "mockingbird".

I was almost afraid to even ask thinking someone might register it if we were able to come up with something.

I've sent a couple of names to a friend who sets up domain names and everything I've suggested has been taken. He finally told me to just start typing things in to see if it was being used before I sent him another suggestion.

I have recently sent him a new one which doesn't seem to be taken but..... I need some serious creative backup!

This is hard.

Trying to think of things that will resonate with parents of a certain age and pocketbook - as well as those heavily disposably-incomed grandparents.

James Taylor lyrics keep coming to mind.

pocketfullofposies is available to buy.

freezetag is taken. Too bad. I really like that one.

I keep trying to run lyrics through my head too and for the first time ever, I'm blank.

We called Freeze Tag "Statues", but that would be a deadly idea.
