Yep, it looks good from here, Justan.
I took the NY Bar in July of '86. I recall 2 of the essay questions. One was about a guy with a bunch of adult porn in his van. It had to do with search and seizure but also with the First Amendment. Then I read it again and realized it had something to do with intent to distribute, as the porn was a bunch of identical photos - copies. So he was selling it.
The other essay was the second one after lunch, about 1:30 PM or so, always a fun time to do an essay. It was commercial paper. You could hear everyone in the room gently murmur expletives. But I remembered the elements of a check -- I just visualized it. You know, date, amount, signature, etc. When I got my scores I saw that I had done best on those 2 essays.
Oh, and I also freaked people out at lunch during the MBE, I mentioned to someone,
did you get the Rule Against Perpetuities question? And they hadn't, and that panicked some. And I also saw a gal in the bathroom stall next to me on the essay day, and she was looking at notes. I didn't report her (technically, you're supposed to) as I figured she was goingt to fail, anyway, so why add insult to injury?
I recall hearing on Election Day. My brother was working for a candidate (for Senate, I think) who lost and I passed the bar. Same day.
