I've been watching bits and pieces of the Tour de France. I don't have
the strength of will to watch very much of it at a time. But I keep seeing
spectators (most of whom deserve a dope-slap, by the way) waving flags
that appear to be home-made. The flags resemble a Union Jack, but the
background is orange, the "+" cross is white, and the "x" cross is green.
Anyone know what this is supposed to be?
No, I don't either. Let's find out. BM
Your description is kinda hard to visualise. No photos, I don't suppose?
Nah, I haven't seen any pictures of it.
You mean this one? Euskadi (Basque)..
I haven't watched the Tour de France but I have watched the Giro d'Italia once or twice. It was a keen display of mispronunciation, city name mangleing by the British announcer - and a visual treat re all the countryside the fellows bicycled through, totally absent of comment about it by the announcers.
Euskatel supporters - but not exclusively! - wave it.
Walter & Francis,
That's it!
The background is red, not orange as I had thought.
The "Travel Game" mavens strike again.
