I'm trying to empty my recycle bin but I'm getting this message

"cannot delete file cannot read from source file or disc"

I tried to restore them to their original position but I get the same message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might be useful to know what operating system you're using, and also whether you are running a 3rd-Party app which provides for "Protected Recycle Bin" (Norton Systemworks, for example, among others).

In the meanwhile, perhaps you'll find this article useful: Microsoft: Cannot Empty Recycle Bin or Modify Recycle Bin Properties
