I installed this software but couldn't copy the three copy-able segments to the hard drive on my new computer.
I had them on the hd for my old machine - the Dictionary proper, the Thesaurus, and the Computer Dictionary - but I keep getting an (unspecified) error message, and a request to send the error message to MS.
The Dictionary was published in 2001, but I don't see what that would have to do with copying any of the correctly installed contents to a new hd. I can understand that MS might not be providing tech support after all this time, but I think the problem must lie with my computer rather than with Microsoft.
I admit that slipping a CD into a slot rather than simply clicking on an icon isn't much of an effort, but I'd like at least to know what the problem is. And, preferably, how to fix it - of course.
Any ideas?
Problem copying Encarta World
Further information: My machine being new, and all, it has literally about 10 times the memory Encarta says is required. So the problem isn't insufficient memory. But if it isn't that, then what is it?
