How many of you have played Luxor? I fianlly got it onto my computer, and it certainly is addictive. But I have a question: Am I being dim, or is the"Foul" announcement arbitrary? what is it that triggers "Foul"?
All the little balls being eaten by the pyramid.
Oh, btw, there are now TWO sorts of Luxor!
I haven't tried the other one.
yet.

Yes, but what makes all the little balls get eaten by the pyramid. what sets that action off?
You haven't been able to blow 'em up fast enough to stop 'em getting swallowed.
You notice how they get closer and closer to thr gaping maw?
They'll hover for a bit.....but if you can't blow some up, and make the others retract, then they fall in.
I've been playing a free variant of Luxor on worldwinner.
The sounds are quite wonderful.

The orgasmic ones, or the heavy rolling balls ones?
the wolf howls are probably my fav - they annoy the dogs a bit
worldwinner games generally have great sound effects and I'm a sucker for noise

It's taken me months, but finally I have managed to get beyond Khufu's Revenge (level 5-4). Takes more than a bit of tight coordination, but with a lot of concentration and a lot more sweat, it can indeed be done.
Khufu's Revengs sucks.
I'm at the final level...14 something I think it is....at Intermediate, having completed all levels at Beginner or whatever the hell it is.
I'm kind of sick of it....I am so close to getting through, but can't quite get past this devilish chaotic thing at the end.
Then I guess I start again at Expert.
There's a 3D one out now.

I wish there were some way of starting from a later level sometimes, instead of always from scratch . You can do that with Feeding Frenzy.
Doesn't your version save levels?
Once I complete a level, mine starts always at the uncompleted level, not back at Level One.
Luxor
I should have said "stages". No, I don't have to go back to the very beginning, just to the start of Stage 5. What I ould like is to be able to start at, say, Stage 3 of my level. Feeding Frenzy lets you do that, but of course you don't benefit by any scores that might have been made in the levels/stages you skipped, so it's only a question of the challenge, not the total score.
