There are more errors even if I remove this particular command.

Please look into this as it would make it so much easier for your users to update their sites, meaning your script gets far more usage.
If the author of this MOD is not interested in this, I will take it upon myself to create this MOD to be in-line with EasyMOD and the latest version of phpBB.
