I am very fond of football,and i love to play it and watch the game,but i have a question recently ,when did the world cup first been hosted and the situation then?
Can you give me some details about it ?Thank you !

The first match was played in Uruguay in 1930. There were three matches in the 1930s, and then the competition was suspended during World War Two. You can read about the World Cup by clicking here.
