Mia weighs 30 kilo plus half the weight of Pia.
Pia weighs 4/7 of the weight of Mia
How much do they weigh together?
Laura
Can you show me how you got that answer?
How much does Pia and Mia weigh separately?

Take known value 30 kilos. to find 4/7th of that divide bt 7=4.5 x 4=18. 30+1/2 of 18+18+57.

Oops. Screwed up that post. Sorry.
30 +4/7 of 30=9+18+weight 18 + 57
You got a different answer than mine.
You should take 4/7 of (30 + half pia's weight)

Formula to use:
Mia = 30 Kg + 1/2 P
P=4/7 (30 + 1/2 P)
7P = 4 (30 + 1/2 P)
P=24......substitute into above equation for Mia in terms of P>>>
Mia= 42
