the price of the krugerrand is basically determined by the price of gold . it's not a "coin" in the true meaning since you have to sell it first to realize the monetary value - you'd likely have to pay a transaction fee to the buyer , unless you sell it privately .
you can also check in
...COINWORLD MAGAZINE...and similar coin magazines for valuation .
the issue date would usually have no influence on the price since you are really selling "gold" and not a rare coin .
btw coin collecting can be very interesting and rewarding .
