Stubborn taskbar

All of a sudden a taskbar has begun appearing across the top of my screen. It lists the five items included in one of my folders, but I am not working with any of them. I have a folder icon for the whole thing, and if I delete any item from the bar it also deletes from the folder. The bar eventually disappears after much mouse moving, so somehow I must have indicated "hide taskbar", but I can't think how that could have happened.

This doesn't have any connection with the basic taskbar at the bottom of the screen, BTW.

Has anyone any solution for this mystery bar - how it came to be and how to get rid of it?

Confused Confused

I don't know. Possibly you can right click on the task bar and find a "hide" option or something. Won't cost anything to try.

Stubborn taskbar
Thanks, roger. I right-clicked and found "do not show" or some such and it worked fine. Thank goodness; it was a darn nuisance.
