Making a CD-R VCD play with SonyDiscman d-v7000 player

When I convert my MPGE1 files into VCD, they play on my PC well [as VCD files], but they won't play on a SONY Discman d-v7000 VCD player.

Is it the burning speed? What can I do in the settings to make the CD-R play?

thank you.

I seriously doubt the burn rate has anything to do with your problem. Once the data file is burned on to the disk the player can play it back at any speed it chooses to.

Check the software settings for whatever application you are using to convert the file to VCD. Your Sony D-V7000 only plays VCD version 2.0 files so make sure you are recording the VCD as v2.0 and not an earlier or later version.
