Hello, I looking forward to know if somebody's a playwright here. I am a writers.net member, but they guys over there are not the right people for these kinds of feedbacks. Thanks.
Are you looking for a someone to look at your scenes? I'm a writer, and I've done some dramaturgy as well. So, if you need someone to look over your play, I'd be happy to.
(I was married to a playwright/screenwriter. Which doesn't make any comment of mine useful, I know. But I somewhat follow the writing threads.)
Some people who post material on a2k are quite sensitive, both about their words and themselves. People post for different reasons, and some do from a deep need, not really wanting formal crit.
A lot of longtimers on the boards here would like there to be a vigorous forum for help, with all of the push/pull that will mean when you are a worldwide website. It will help draw the people who are most able to do useful crit if you say with every thread you start - at least for a while - that you welcome real criticism. There are some deft writers and editors among the a2k members, though they don't show up all the time.
playwrite
only now do i consider myself a play write. have been a screenwriter for ten years. only in the last year have been learning how to write a play.
what's the question?
i humbly submit with regret that i may not have all the answers, but in that event i can fictionalize or "lie" if needs be.
Writing a play sounds difficult and even though I thought one day I would love to try it, I doubt I will ever have the time.
Say, Peter....what have you written? You have the name of a ship here which is very interesting.

What have I written?
I apologize. having written that i have been a screen writer for the last ten years was both true and misleading. the only script of mine that was ever produced was a script called Alter Ego. sadly the production was that of myself and my closest friends. i tell you what though, my mom said it was great and probably the best movie she ever saw.
what i am working on now is, once again a script that i will have the capabilities of producing myself. i'm writing a play in the style of a Neil Simon farce.
in regards to my name...how bout that...who knew anyone would name a ship "Peter?"
well if mum loved it, it had to be good!
Bonaventure is the name of a ship...not sure if the Peter is part of it or not....google it...it is interesting.
break-a-leg on your next production write. (heard it was bad luck to wish good luck....or is that only for the actors?)
