Introspection .....
Gelisgesti- Interesting question. I perceive life as an ongoing process, a work in progress, that can end at any moment. As a result, IMO when we die, we leave so many loose ends.
To me life is a process of growing, and learning. At each bend in the road, there are new options and challenges. As life unfolds, it unfolds as layers of string cheese. The more the layers that are found, the more new layers there are on the horizon.
On account of that I don't think that I could ever say what would be left undone. Looking at it another way, theoretically, if we could live forever, we would NEVER be "finished".
Actually once on the other side of tomorrow what of this life would matter?
But, since I'm out of underwear I'd better get this freakin laundry started. ;o)
Gelisgesti- Nothing would matter..........to us. Our choices in life might very well matter to our progeny, and if we had made a real difference in life, to the people who come after us.
Phoenix makes a really interesting point. I read the title and my stomach sank; so much would be left undone. But is that a bad thing? If every single thing I ever wanted to accomplish was, indeed accomplished -- nothing more to do -- why wake up tomorrow morning?
Good question - the bucket of apples I have been stepping around for two weeks rather than process wouldn't get done and who the hell would care. So I am going to feed them to the goats and get them off my conscience.
One thing I'd like to do, before the end, is to have a big, juicy BIG MAC.
With a beer, too plus fries.
If one is truly focused on
this[/i] day, there can be no tomorrows.

There you go, that's exactly what I am looking for! Let me finish it with 'or yesterdays'. There exist only that immeasurable eye blink that stretches out in every direction from the 'now'... Time is as measurable as it's name .......
Thank you Williamhenry
I do have a few things on the list that haven't been ticked off yet, some of them are though so I suppose I'm not doing too bad.
Things left undone:
Own house
Marriage
Child
Australia
Get motorcycle license
Not to say these things will happen anyway even if I live to be 80, but I'd like to cross a few more off before I go.
williamHenry3,
This is such a profound statement to me, may I put it in my sig?
