I've been away for a bit. Just watching the world and thinking. Seeing things and taking pictures trying to capture them. I felt a need to write something so.....
A DAY
A day.
Eleven parts hot, twelve parts cool.
Seductive.
Things were born today,
nothing died.
A sky of dark blue gel with
Cotton, carefully placed,
to give contrast and a focal point
to a sky that went on forever.
Forever,
today it had value.
Not a philosophical abstract;
It measured the length of a moment.
That moment.
This moment.
There I stood
encircled by the enchanting breeze.
Touched, caressed and enchanted.
Notions of infidelity crossed my mind
as if I were in the arms of some silken mistress
stealing some secret moment
known only to my spirit.
I was there.
Some priestly Druid
paying tribute to my God,
my earth.
Drinking deeply from the communal cup
and rejoicing.
I was alive
and the world and I conversed
for that moment.
And quietly we parted.
Morganwood! So glad to see you here. I was thinking about you a few weeks ago, and was wondering why we hadn't heard from you. How's everything going?
Pretty good. Had a shallow point for a while and decided to kick it in the ass and get back in the world. Really wanted to write some but had trouble getting started. Missed it. Pretty simple really, if you don't write, you can't write! Rains and storms over in TN. Beautiful days now. First attempt to write a little weak but I'll get better!
Thanks for asking. ps: who can tell me how to post pictures directly to the photography forum pages?
Yeah, Morganwood, I noticed your absence.
Great prose Morganwood.
I felt it from my heart all the way to my toes--
and everywhere in between. You still have a wonderful way with your spirit (revealed in and between the lines).
Morganwood, you captured that magical feeling that comes too rarely when we feel at one with the earth and ourselves. Beautiful thoughts. Good to see you back with us.
Morganwood
Glad to see ya around!!
Thanks all!
Thank you for the link Phoenix!
Morganwood. WOW! First a welcome back then a big drink of your prose poem. I see that you haven't slipped a creative disc.
