six plus nine=10x10+1=25-16=
Thank you
I suspect this is only part of the puzzle.
I saw something very like this on one of those tv quiz programs where they want thousands of people to ring in with answers.
The more ringers they get the more money they make.
And, in order to get more ringers they come up with puzzles which have many, many answers - AND the right answer is the last one that has not already been given.
Having found several answers myself, I gave up because I had not heard all the answers so far suggested.
Original problem:- what do all the numbers add up to?
Apart from straight maths, what about adding all the numbers you see
6
9
6+9
10
10
1
10x10
1
10x10+1 (answer depends on where brackets are presumed to be
25
16
2
5
1
6
25-16
they may even presume that i's can be counted as 1's!
ix (roman numerals)
i
x
ADD that lot up ????
That's my view - hope it comforts you.
Thank you rhymer, to be honest my understanding of mathematics is to say the least not much, I was rather hoping the explanation would be simpler but thank you anyway even though I'm no wiser.
