Configuring Mac Firewall

My d/l speeds using bittorrent suck, and they tend to "hang" or get stuck all the time. I went to bed last night and two files said they had about 3 hours left on them - woke up this morning and they hadn't moved at all. Grrrr....

I'm pretty sure it has to do with my firewall, but I'm not sure how to configure it properly. I found one tip online and tried it, but no change.

(By the way, I use Bittorrent as my client.)

Any tips?

It may have more to do with the network connection than your firewall, but if you are using Apples firewall it is under system preferences>Sharing>Firewall.

You can enable programs to allow network activity by checking the program in the window there. You may need to add it to the list first, though.
