No, Boida, not a fossa...

Fossas have long tails and bigger ears.

They climb on trees, which is not the case with our "walker"...

Well, phooey. Was sure it was a fossa. Then I thought it was a tayra, but tayras are tree-climbers.

So it boils down to this, Francis. I don't know what the hell it is. But I'll wait patiently to find out.

A non-bushy tailed land based predator which hunts in groups makes me think Meerkat, but it's definitely not a Meerkat. Maybe a relative? I'm also thinking Badger, but not exactly. What continent does this thing live on?
