Who or what is your animal spirit guide?

While relaxing over a cup a tea with a friend, we started to talk about things like guardian angels and spiritual guides and wether or not they could exist. My friend asked "Who is your animal spirit guide?- this is not an idea I had ever really pondered before so at her suggestion I closed my eyes and thought about it. This is image that appeared in my brain:

Yes, Beatrix Potter's Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, the lovable but prickly housekeeper. I thought this was rather accurate as I was recently accused of being a "hausfrau". So who or what is your animal spirit guide?
(I bet even the atheists have one)

I had a nutty friend in Santa Fe who said she learned how to retrieve animal totems/spirits for people. She offered to find mine. We lay still, she may have drummed. In the end, she sat up and started laughing her head off. Eventually she told me my animal was a turkey vulture. She thought this very funny, but I liked the fit.

Turkey vultures are very important to the environment, you should be proud.

I was - am. I had become interested in t.v. after I read some Edward Abbey. I learned a bit about them and really liked them. After the diagnosis (grin), I hooked up with a guy who lived down the Pecos River. I'd pass a t.v. roost every time I drove there. I stopped a couple times and stood beneath the tree with them gibbering at me. Eventually they'd all shove off and there'd be a swirl of flapping and wind over my head. It was great. They're seasonal here, and I rejoice when they return in the spring.

I know it's just anthropomorphism, but I always have good mental conversations with cats (especially my own). They always love me, I'm like the Cat Whisperer.

I think these animal spirit guides are specifically not supposed to be domisticated animals.

Animals communicate in their way. Cats hate my husband. It could be because he smells like our dogs or because they know he secretly refers to them as "furry footballs".

sozlet has been in thrall to turkey vultures ever since we saw the one swoop by our house. She's seeing them everywhere. ("THERE!!! It's a turkey vulture!!" No, that's a plane, sweetie. "The turkey vulture went behind the plane!") I'm sure she'd think that was a fantastic s.g. to have.

Turkey vultures soar (no flapping), fly very high, have 'fingertips' at the tips of their wings, have semi-translucent.... um... what part of the wing is that....?

Humm, is there a test or a guide to help us pick?

If not, I'll take the wolf...Have been in love with them since I was young.

Test for finding your Animal Spirit Guide

This was the first one I found by googling. Will see if there are other / better ones.
