I like that.
I wonder if I could translate that into Cherokee, or Cree...
and make that her name..
beautiful. :-)
Bean is now riding her little bike and buttercup is licking the dirt off of the wheels while she follows her.
Im thinking...
this is a good match. :-)
Yes, I thought it was very touching. Edith's quote, I mean.
And what a gorgeous photograph of your daughter & the dog! (Gotta stop calling her Buttercup if you're going to change the name!)
That's the kind of picture that should be framed and showed off to everyone that comes to your door, from your friends to complete strangers. That is so sweet my teeth hurt.
Heartbeat? Why not call her Corazon?
Why not Sioux? Obviously pronounced Sue.
By the way, Dexter wonders if he can arrange a date?

Why do you build me up -- Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down -- and mess me around
And then worst of all -- you never call, baby
When you say you will -- but I love you still
I need you -- more than anyone, darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up -- Buttercup, don't break my heart
wow.
dexter is beautiful!!
If you were not so far away, Buttercup here aint fixed just yet.. ;-)
they could have some doggie time, and we could sell some babies..
but anyway.. hehe
she is absolutely gorgeous. I'd probably name her something similar sounding to Buttercup, so that she's not too confused.
Better cop?
Baterka? (battery in Slovak. but it's pronounced buh- tair- ka)
Baretka? (a barret, also Slovak, of course)
Baletka? (ballet dancer)
...

even funnier,
Jillian probally would have passed out as she was trying to pant as quickly and as loudly as the dog was right at that minute.
I will have to catch that on video.
damn cute.

There's Something About Mary, for one. It's probably from other places, too, but that's the first thing that came to my mind when you asked that question.
There's no need to worry about confusing the dog. A dog can learn a new name in day or two. It is the tone, and the affection, which reinforce the name.
thats what I thought.
Because it isnt the actual NAME the recognize, but the inviting tone of voice, that gets their attention.
I just called her 'chair' and she came to me..
As in Sunny and Chair?
(That song, Buttercup, is just some 60s bubble-gum rock which popped into my head. I free associate with song lyrics.)
I will chair some of my food wich- you..

Sung by the Foundations. It was the very first single I went out and bought.
Geeze, E, don't you mean the nanny pushed you to the record store in your pram?
