not far from my plan
55 gallon drum of Roundup and a pallet of new sod
Id make some visual connects between the bushes and trees. They look like theyre just plopped in there. Then, maybe some Roundup to define the limits of yer planned ground covers . Like Id make some rounded lines that will visually connect stuff. besides the native grass, do any of those bushes flower? You need some flowering stuff . Your problem is that you need to just create some spots of interest with connected plants and color and the grass problem will take care of itself.
Clovers really hardy and for Gods sake, DONT put too much Nitrogen down cause clovers a legume to start with. You need potash. Did you ever take a soil test?
Are you listening ?
Does your dog go out and dump where those little brown spots are?
Go out and tell us your pH. If its below 6.3 , you need some lime .
Now dont just stand there or well have gus come and spend a week.
too late! dys already picked gus up in his camper...they're heading my way!!
He got his unnerware on backwards too.
no doubt
hey , great ideas farmerman...they don't call you that for nuthin
I need to feel superior on sumthin after my stupid "dead guitar" ****. I changed the strings and the damn thing sounds great. Wow, six years in the case and the strings probly stayed that way.
alls well that strums well...i say
Now lets get back to that sorry ass lawn of yours.
mole crickets, Panz. Need to resod. I have the same problem and my lawn people are worthless.
Bermuda grass from the golf course mixed in with St. Augustine stuff and and the dollar weeds make beautiful lawn covering.
did you ever consider putting out some wood chips and then growing some banana treees? If I could , I would grow banana trees. Bananas wont grow in Pa, Oh I suppose we could get em to grow in a greenhouse or something thats a controlled environment. Over at Longwood Gardens they grow bananas in a conservatory and they spend about 35000$ a year on fuel to heat the place and humidify it. But down in Fla, Ill bet you could grow some pretty good home growns.
I was gonna make a point there but I forgot what it was.
My hubby is very proud of that lawn mower. It took him all weekend to get it just right.
yeah...I've grown em before...they're mighty slow///takes about 5 years til you get a nanner the size of a baby cuke...this is a great environment for gardening...no doubt about it
I suggest buying lots and lots of plastic flowers and trees. Stand them up and wire them in place. Much easier than all that hard work.
ok edgar...I bought the plastic plants...now....what do I feed them?
quips and, oh, yes, they like an occasional dusting.
I would suggest a small nuclear device.
i suggest you invite Gustav over for a week or so. He's known to have a green thumb, literally. Might not help your yard, but you'd forget all about it while he's there.
I was hoping Gus would bring his goat buddies
