I am not very friendly with latin, so i thought i'd ask someone who knows;
"in remissionem peccatorum"
could anyone please explain what this means exactly?
thank you, and have a great day!
It's a half sentence, the full one is "Confiteor unum baptisma in remissionem peccatorum."
That translates to "I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins".
This is part of the 'Credo' (creed) which is part of the the mass in Catholic, Anglican etc rite.
If your question is more religious focused - pose it in the religion category.
(As an aside: the singular of quotes is quote :wink: )
"in remissionem peccatorum" - for the remission of sins.
Read the:
=>Credo
What is the world coming to . . . all these ferinners providing English translations of Latin quotes . . .
thank you guys alot, it was really helpful.
and no, walter i didn't even know it was religeous quote.
great tip!
