XI Social Responsibility
i A Golden Rule
1) "Here, my friend, to you i give,
The Golden Rule by which i live:
2) To lead my life in my own way,
Doing the things i choose today;
Striving for goals that i alone set,
Enjoying peace and happiness - by my standards yet.
3) But in all those things, whatever i do,
Never shall it be at the expense of you."
ii Thievery
1) An entity becomes a thief when it intentionally takes anything from another entity against its will.
2) The value of the object stolen is of no consequence.
3) An entity has the right to defend its life and property from thievery by whatever force is necessary.
4) Any resultant effect of an entity's attempt at thievery is that entity's sole responsibility.
5) Although the entity may have to account for its actions in a subsequent analyzation period, it also may be held accountable to its peers in the current incarnation.
iii Social sentence
1) Society has the right to punish those who do not abide by its just laws.
2) Such punishment should be for the purpose of protecting society and convincing the entity and others that such actions are not acceptable behavior.
3) The degree of punishment for various offenses should be standardized.
4) Capital punishment may be utilized by society for certain crimes if justly and humanely performed.
iv Governmental control
1) It being necessary to establish order, peace, and guarantee liberty, entities form governments among themselves.
2) The only purpose for the continuance of government is to maintain and protect the rights and privileges of all individual entities.
3) Governments may attempt to provide for the welfare of their citizens when such citizens are unable to take care of their own welfare.
4) Governments should treat all citizens equally and not usurp the rights of any citizen in favor of another.
v Medicine and drugs
1) In the furtherance of health and integrity, many entities devote their energies toward the development of beneficial drugs, medicines and medical procedures.
2) These entities usually have gained knowledge in their fields of interest through previous incarnations.
3) Medicines, drugs and procedures utilized for the benefit of physical entities are necessary.
4) Intentional misuse of medicines, drugs or procedures by entities will cause setbacks in their growth that will have to be overcome.
