Just a quick question
Can I use an xp pro cd to boot into my xp home edition OS recovery console?
I don't think so. I believe you'll get a "version error" (you'll get the same error if XP Pro is on the machine if you've installed SP1 or SP2)
I think MS has a set of XP Home and XP Pro boot disics on their WWW site that you can download to get around the problems - provided your PC has a floppy drive.
