There were three kids there last night... this morning I see two but I'm hoping the other one is off camera.

@Joe Nation,

those birdlets make me nervous. all these years of being a FalconAunt, and I still get nervous when they're heading for the edge of the ledge.

@Joe Nation,
Are there no elevators in the building?

Load the parent falcons and the chisks into an elevator and press the down button, (laughter and fun will ensue)

Yes. For the last couple of days, I've noticed lots of fluff (down) coming off the chicks. A sure sign they're almost ready.

The NY babies are gearing up. The PA babies are still growing up. Wish they weren't starting from so damned high.

I only saw one last evening. A parent was perched on top of the shelter watching.

Same thing now.

Well....the camera is off.
AND there is no official news about the fate of the fledglings.
I might be downtown later today, I shall inquire at the lobby.

Oh yes, do ask at the lobby!

This seems to have happened all too fast. Sad

Thanks to everyone for tuning in, it looks like our babies have had a successful fledging. The web cam has been turned off and will be up and running again next season. Hope everyone has a great summer!!

These two parents really fed those chicks well. They all looked strong and apparently are off somewhere downtown feasting on Robin Red Breast or some other delicious creature.

Snarling? Snarling about darling pigeons, darling?

Spoken like someone who has never been pooped on as a flock of startled wingedrats take off from a sidewalk in Washington Square Park.

@Joe Nation,
I love dem oiban boids. And you're right. Never been pooped on. In London, I had pigeons sitting on both arms and shoulders. No poop. They know who cares.

Aside from their extraordinary flying ability, pigeons are survivors. Yeah, I like pigeons. What are you gonna do about it, Mr. Pooped-on Nation? Huh?
