@Joe Nation,
WELL, The Pa DEP has gotten its webcam on the falcon nest box atop the Rachel Carson HQ building in Harrisburgh P.
Apparently the falcons hve already taken up residence for the year and the cams are up and playing out some night shots.
Its live so, youll be able to see Mrs lay her eggs (if she so decides). Id look in tomorrow AM. This is mostly a wake-up call for you NYorkers to sweep out your falcon box and get it going for the season.

@Frank Apisa,
Heres the eaglets and the parents on the nest in Hanover Pa. The local press was almost arrested when they tried to sneak up to the next and get some close in shots. The eagles almost abandoned the nest . All worked out because now , both chicks have hatched and the PGC is monitoring the nest becaiuse (usually) what happens is that one of the eaglets may be abandoned . However, it appears that with all the sushi laying around, food isn't a problem this year

@farmerman,
Couldn't see that one, FM...but I Googled "eaglets in Hanover Pa" and saw a couple of movie clips of them. In one the eaglets were being fed.

Great scene.

@Joe Nation,
HERES a nest cam from nearby HANOVER PA where a pair of Bald Eagles have set up house keeping. This nest is rather active with the two chicks demanding food like a coupla teens

Quote:

Four Eggs Over and Over Easy

The larger falcon spends most of her time on the eggs lately. She gently pushes, prods and rolls the eggs slightly when she re-adjusts her position. If the male shows up at the nest while she is there, they chirp to (at?) each other constantly.

@ehBeth,
Well well well. The Hanover Eagles nest site has had its camera turned on and the eagles are visiting each day. Id imagine that, in Feb they will have a clutch of eggs. SO Ill check in to see them cleaning up the nest and adding small sticks and leaves

@Joe Nation,
weve got 7 reported pairs of breeding eagles within a 30 mile radius of where im at ( and probably some other pars , who, because theyre on state game lands, are already heavily monitored.)
