Hello fellow falcon lovers. As you all know by now we have four new falcons. As of May 12, 2010 they were named and banded.
Brianne " Named for Brianne Goodwin MS, MPH, RN; Brianne is the Director of Clinical Trials at NYU Urology Associates. She was responsible for the successful coordination of medical treatment that William Pupplo, Vice President of Construction at 55 Water Street, recently received at NYU Medical Center and also to acknowledge the nursing profession as a whole who work behind the scene before during and after treatment without any recognition for their efforts.

Verticle - Y Black over Verticle - 92 Green
Ramona " Named for SPC Ramona Chaves, an Army Surgical Technician who came to the West Point Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) in January of this year after being injured during a training exercise. She hails from Florida State and is married to Diogo Chaves. Upon her release from the Army, she plans on returning to Florida where she will enroll in school.

Verticle Y Black over Verticle 93 Green
Matthew " Named for CPL Matthew Bradford, USMC of the 2/3 Echo Company who, after his injury in Iraq in January 2007, came home to begin his rehabilitation process. In October of 2009, he successfully completed the Marine Corps Marathon on a hand cycle in less than four hours with the guide and direction from members of his unit. Earlier this year, he officially became the first ever blind, double amputee to re-enlist into the United States Marine Corps. He is considered to be one of the most courageous and honorable men by all those who know him. Today, he continues to serve as a mentor to other USMC service men and woman within the wounded community.

Stephen " Named for CPL Steven R. Koch who joined the Army in February of 2006 in response to the World Trade bombings of 9-11-2001. He was deployed in January 2007 to Afghanistan and served as a member of the 1-508 Platoon of the 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Infantry Regiment (PIR). He was an incredibly courageous man who, through his dedication and perseverance, made it his mission in life to protect our country and those who could not protect themselves. After a year of deployment, sadly, CPL Steven R. Koch was killed in action on March-3rd, 2008 in the Sabari District of Afghanistan.
