I use Word 97 at work and have received a document via email that when I open runs the CPU at 100% and subsequently Word freezes. This happens if I open it from the email or save it to my hard drive.
Version is Word 97 SR-2
Can anyone help??

The word, no pun intended, is upgrade. You are using nine year old software, that's equivalent to driving a thirty-year old car. Go get the latest upgrade that your operating system can handle. (Are you still using Windows 95?)

Then again, Word 97 works just fine in most applications...even though it is outdated. I would be mores suspicious of a malicious macro.
