What did Madonna see in him?
He does nothing for me.

I think that was more PR for the movie they did together than anything else.

I remember twenty two years ago when I turned 69. It was traumatic at the time, realizing I was a year from 70, but now I look back at those youthful days and, frankly, I am a bit saddened.
Memories light the corners of my mind.

I don't know what Madonna saw in him, but in his "day" he was quite the Lothario. Had a passel of girlfriends including Joan Collins, Natalie Wood (broke up her 1st marriage to Robert Wagner), Leslie Caron, and many others.
Quote:
Beatty is almost as famous for his love life as he is for his movie-making, having been connected with a galaxy of beautiful starlets, a who's who list reported to include Joan Collins, Leslie Caron, Madonna, Julie Christie, Liv Ullmann, Brigitte Bardot, Carly Simon (who is rumored to have written "You're so Vain" about him), Elle Macpherson, Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, Candice Bergen, Cher, and Britt Ekland. Notorious for his alleged love `em and leave `em treatment of many of these women, an aging Beatty had the tables turned on him by the sultry diva, supermodel Stephanie Seymour, who unceremoniously dropped Beatty to pursue W. Axl Rose of rock band Guns 'n Roses. Soon after that, Beatty settled down with Bening. The couple have four children.
Annette Bening, whom he married at the age of 55 after remaining a bachelor for most of his life, must be something rather special to have tied him down, once and for all.

I was going to bring all of that up also Phoenix but figured, unless Material Girl was 'there', she wouldn't understand.
But then, a picture is worth 1000 words.

I was looking for photos from his "Shampoo" days because IMO, that was when he was at his absolute hottest. And how many ex and present girlfriends did he have in that movie anyway?! Julie Christie, Goldie Hawn, was Lee Grant on the list too?

Since I was there, and usually had a movie magazine within reach (anybody old enough to remember those?) I could understand EXACTLY why he had his way with the ladies.
Some of you might want to rent "Splendor in the Grass", or "Shampoo", to see what we are talking about. Man, he smoked!!!

Plastic surgery on the eyes and neck are the most frequently performed for males. Not sure about Warren -- many photos on the Web that do not look like there's been any nip-and-tuck, otherwise no turkey neck.

It doesn't look like he's had anything done. Can't help wishing that he would, for purely selfish reasons, just want to see even a glimmer of "Bud Stamper" again

Right -- and no really good images online of Bud Stamper. Just the cover of the DVD:

I tell this story from time to time... I had a friend who, seeing current photos of Paul Newman, didn't understand the big whoop about him back in the day. I loaned him my copy of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and he returned it, dazed. "Now I understand" he said.
