That, Mr. Dalahow2 is because of evangelism, which Christianity is also guilty of. You will perceive that Christianity has 2.1 billion due to its evangelism? It too started off with a handful of followers and spread across the continents. What is your point?

Thank you for your elaboration Wolf...
I never said that, Mr. Dalahow2, and I never even hinted at that. Just because you think the majority of Muslims are intelligent, tolerant and clever, does not mean they are.
I would like to point out to you a Review featured in New Scientist (1st April) of Manchester UK's Museum of Science and Industry's "1001 Inventions" exhibit.
The exhibit clearly showed the wonderful advances in culture and technology that the Muslims managed to achieve. Yet the review clearly and rightfully points out that this is in full contrast to the Islamic World today. The Muslim world today cannot compare to the ancient one, due to a lack of education, lack of access to proper educational materials and a lack of encourangement for critical thinking that may upset the fundamentalists that rule over the majority of the Muslim world.
The sharia law is being taken to an extreme that is preventing people from criticising the religious dogma that is so prevalent in the Muslim world.
This includes the almost backward treatment of Muslim women, which, I must add, does not occur within the Western countries, or even in the East Asian countries, for that matter.
