We shud kiss sometime (purely platonic sense)
you are not dangerous, are you?
tee hee. i have the mother of colds anyway, you wouldn't want to approach me with a ten meter pole. maybe with that, just to shove me away and close the door behind me. sniff sniff, head will explode. who cares, it's empty anyways.
<she really does not want to kiss me>
But coming back to the topic in hand, one of my favorite smells is how the earth smells after the first rain (this is specially true in India where we get rains after a long and hard summer)
Lets see..
I love the smells of..
The High Sierra Desert
Sage brush
Lake Tahoe had a fresh, clean piney scent
Camping and campfires
I love the smell of snow, that crisp bite that perfumes the air. You can always tell its going to snow in Reno, by the smell of it.
Of rain
vanilla candles
biscuits
banana nut bread
liliacs
Horses
Dogs
my kids
and most of all..
my husband.
Scents that bring back memories for me, which I love
Honeysuckle
Pipes, cigars
raw cinoman
fresh pillows
any Italian cooking
Scents that I just plain love-
books, paper, ink
American money
citrus-y/aqua aftershave--makes me melt
Perfumes that I love:
Romance
Dune
Curve
Pleasures
And does anyone else love the smell of the inside of Hallmark stores? How do they do that?
Gen, that's a very long list and I would subscribe to most of it. Not the husband part, cos I have a wife instead.
Lorna's list is a good one as well. Love the Italian cooking as well, allied to a bottle or two of Italian wine.
When I was a lot younger, there was a shop near us that sold a huge range of loose pipe tobacco and a huge range of ground coffee. So many different smells all mingling together but every time you went there the smell was slightly different
Lorna, that smell in Hallmark stores comes from the candles displayed there and also a spray bottle!
It is delightful though!
