Is Internet stalking an actual offence u could go to jail 4?

I have posted on this one site, where people were very rude and basically slandered and defamed me.

I wanted to expose those lies by quoting them and quoting what actually happened, but got banned.

The reason I got banned was because a particular person started talking garbage about me and made up whole bunch of crap she didn't really need to. She was dishonest, and I replied to her in a very unflattering form and yes, I used profanity.

So I was banned.

So in order for me to expose their lies that how they completely slandered me, I created another account and posted. Everything was told in detail and there was no way to deny something that obvious.

Well, needless to say I was banned again, my essay on their slander was deleted and I was told that that could be used as evidence in Internet stalking case.

I live in Texas. I have looked in the Internet stalking laws and they were talking about obscene, sexual or threatening content, the "I-know-where-you-live-and-I-am-going-to-kill-you" type thing. Nothing I ever posted, was either threatening, or sexual, and unless "I don't give a **** what you think about me" is an obscene send (profanity was acceptable there), I didn't do that, either.

My questions are:

1.The forum rules are not government rules. Can internet forum be considered a provate property? I want to stress, this isn't some place where they discuss freaking Pentagon nuclear codes, this is just another forum, not terribly different from this one.

2.Can simply coming back under a different user name and posting non-threatening, non-sexual written contents with no images be considered Internet stalking?

3.I understand how sending e-mails on a private mail be harassment, where you can get in trouble with the law, but how can a public forum, where anyone can post anything, be the same?

I hope this makes sense, it's kind of late where I am right now...

so... anyone?

In general, internet discussion forums are private enterprises, pretty much subject to whatever internal rules the forum's administrators care to establish and enforce so long as the forum content is not otherwise specifically illegal.

There have been instances of legal action, both criminal and civil, stemming from internet disputes.

As to what constitutes slander, libel, harrasment or stalking, well any of that tends to be reasonably unambiguous, and very well could be actionable. The internet is not quite so anonymous as some folks seem to think it is.

You have managed to miss the point altogether . . . the nature of the title with regards to assaults on the language isn't the point . . .

suka, depending on your age and the nature of any civil or criminal action brought against you pursuant to your activities on public forms, you could be looking at sanctions and penalties ranging from expulsion from a forum through any combination of termination of your internet service, loss of your computer, legal injuncntion against your accessing/participating on the internet, to significant monetary fine and/or incarceration.

I implied nothing. This is one of those thread titles which gives one pause. Seeing the thread title, which we all do before we have seen the content, suggests that the author might be concerned because s/he might be liable to prosecution for having stalked someone online. No implication, just a comment on how the title, taken by itself, can strike the casual reader who happens upon it unaware.

That is exactly what I was threatened with. This malicious person even inadvertently admitted that he had stolen my address book. That's probably why my hotmail account has been closed already.

NOTE: This malicious stalker is most likely posting at this forum already, too.
