A Dreamer's Life
Imagination is free to all
A thing even poor boys can own
And I must confess I've had a ball
With nothing more than a stick or stone
Fought tigers, aliens, pirates and bears
With rifles, knives or just my fists
I aimed to kill with a deadly stare
Armed with an elastic band that never missed
I've held up stages with pointy fingers
Rescued fair maidens from certain harm
Been everywhere that danger lingers
And never once had to leave the farm
The sights I've seen within my mind
Are best described as truly amazing
Playing in the grass, who knows what I'd find
As my pony stood close by me grazing
Imagination is free to all
Not only the young, but the young at heart
A dreamer's life is never dull
Of life, fantasy just might be the best part
