Environmental and IT

There are a lot of software applications like GIS systems (mapping), weather modeling, etc.. that are directly tied to the environment. There are also more sophisticted systems that are used for things like projecting the path of oil spills, ground water contamineny flow, airborne particulate drift, etc..

I quick google search resulted in more than 200 different environmental software producs ... in German only. So there'll be certainly a lot more in English.
